Stylish Ikea Tarva Chevron Dresser Hack

This Ikea bedroom hack from Hunker is one of our favourites. They have taken the simple Tarva 6-drawer dresser and added a chevron pattern with wooden ribs. The whole thing is then given a neutral paint treatment to create a really interesting, yet calming piece of furniture.

Thankfully the majority of work is done for you with the solid wood Tarva dresser. The addition of the ribs could be a little time consuming but something I think most people can handle.

Cane Bed Headboard Ikea Hack

Cane or rattan additions to furniture are very much on trend right now and this great hack from Apartment Therapy makes the most of this great material.

They have used an Ikea Fjellse bed which is not longer produced, but you could easily do the same with a Tarva bed.

It’s such a simple addition that turns a fairly mundane bed into something with texture and style.

Ikea Raskog Cart Nightstand

The Raskog cart is a much loved Ikea product and finds its way into many home decor plans. The use of the cart as a nightstand by Homey Oh My give loads of storage for books, blanket, jewellery and alarm clock.

It’s so useful that it has wheels so you can move this nightstand around when not in use, especially when you want to vacuum!

Range of colours available mean you can find the perfect one to fit into your bedroom decor.

Fabric Covered Bed Hack

Another hack carried out on the Ikea Fjellse bed, but we know the drill now! Get that Tarva bed for the same basic frame.

This Ikea bedroom hack from Manhattan Nest covers the whole frame in foam and fabric to give a more luxurious feel (and hide the simple pine frame).

We love the potential of this Ikea bed hack as you could use any style of fabric you choose, even a faux leather covering!

Add in some upholstery buttons for a more upmarket look!

Gold Upholstered Ottoman Bench Hack

Speaking of upmarket, this stunning upholstered ottoman hack from Dwellings By DeVore would really make a statement in your bedroom.

We love the dalmatian print fabric used on the upholstery!

This has been created from an Ikea Vittsjo TV Unit. The frame has been spray painted gold and then the brilliant upholstery added to create something utterly unique.

Four Poster Bed Ikea Malm Hack

Many people dream of owning a four poster bed. It is always the gold standard of bedroom furniture. Well, you can have your own quite cheaply by following this great Ikea bedroom hack from Hesters Handmade Home.

They have used an Ikea Malm Bed and added the four posts and top frame to create a stunning bed worthy of any princess!

Simply hang some sheer fabric over the top and the look is complete.

Leather Tufted Bed Headboard Ikea Hack

If you needed some assistance in creating a leather covered tufted headboard from the Tarva hack earlier then this tutorial from And Then We Tried does the job.

In this hack they have used a Malm bed but the results are so professional you be excused thinking this was bought like this.

You could go the whole hog and cover the entire bed, but then I suppose the cost starts going up!

Clean White Dressing Table Malm Hack

I think the intended use of this Ikea hack from Just Living was as a desk, but we’ve seen the opportunity for a great dressing table!

There would be tons of storage space for make up, accessories, hairdryer and straighteners here! The generous table top would be most welcome if you want to have a nice relaxing start to the day.

We love the way this has been accessorised too, with plenty of gold and even a pineapple!

Ikea Chopping Board Floating Nightstand Hack

For a minimalist nightstand, this hack from Ikeahackers is fantastic! As long as you’re not the kind of person that needs a lot of stuff by your bed at night then this is a great way to create a nightstand that is not too intrusive but still looks great.

Room for a book, an alarm clock and a plant is all you need!

Ikea Picture Frame Under Bed Storage

Ok, so this Ikea bedroom hack from Curbly is more cute than useful. But if you don’t actually have a lot to store, or do not have much height under your bed then it may just be a good option.

You could easily fit four or even six of these under a double bed so the space would soon add up!

If the storage space in the Malm dressing table wasn’t enough, you could use these little beauties for your jewellery!

DIY Cushioned Headboard with Leather Straps

We adore this Ikea bedroom hack from Collective Gen. It’s also a really cheap one, whoop!

They have used a discontinued outdoor cushion from Ikea, but the Kuddarna does exactly the same job.

The addition of the leather straps transforms this project from good to great and is also a really easy way to fix the headboard in place.

Some really stylish and, we thought, surprising examples of what you can do with an Ikea bedroom hack!
