Now, let’s dive in to these Ikea desk hacks:
Ikea White and Gold Desk Hack

We love a good gold spray paint hack here at Hacksaholic. This ALEX desk hack looks really elegant after it’s gold paint treatment, even the chair has been selected to match.
Carrying out this Ikea desk hack is not too difficult either and you’ll be left with a gorgeous home office space.
Ikea Tiled Desk Hack

There are two ways of going about this desk hack. Using tiles or using adhesive vinyl sheet. The tiling route will take you a LONG time, the vinyl may well be a better option.
Either way, it’s a stunning statement desk that really stands out in the room.
Ikea Pretty in Pink Desk Hack

If you just love pink, then why not really go for it and crack open the pink spray paint! This VITTSJO desk has been turned into a pink wonder!
Of course you could choose any color you wish, but don’t forget the matching touches such as the tiny string of pink bunting on the wall.
Ikea Small Work Desk Hack

This clever Ikea desk hack uses a LACK table with extended legs to create a small sewing area, perfect for craft heroes with limited space!
The bottoms of the legs have been wrapped in marble effect vinyl sheet to give a ‘dipped’ look.
Ikea Folding Desk Hack

This isn’t an Ikea hack, but it is a product that Ikea have added to effectively hack the IVAR shelving unit into a handy fold-down desk.
This is an excellent way of saving space while creating somewhere to do your work.
Ikea Chipboard Desk Hack

Just two LERBERG trestles and a NORDLII drawer unit with a couple of pieces of chipboard laid over the top. Sounds lame, but chipboard is a very trendy material at the moment and I think it looks great here.
I would go for a thicker board, perhaps 3/4″ (18mm) or even 1″ (25mm) to prevent it sagging in the middles, but this is a great little desk hack idea.
Ikea Glamorous Desk Hack

This incredible Ikea desk hack has been given the full treatment. Not only has it got lots of storage in all the right places, but it is a totally glamorous place to carry out your work.
It goes to show that you don’t need to hold back when designing your workspace, especially if you’re saving a bit of money by using an Ikea hack!
Ikea Marble Top Desk Hack

I love the simplicity of this marble topped desk hack. Just a sheet of marble effect adhesive vinyl over the top of a LINNMON desk top.
The finish is stunning though and I think anyone would be proud to work at a desk like this!
Ikea Pull Out Desk Hack

Another excellent space-saving Ikea desk hack idea. This pull out laptop desk has been incorporated into a MALM dresser so that it can be hidden away after use.
If you’re struggling for space for your home office, just remember that there is always a way to fit a desk in somehow!
Ikea Epic Stand Up Desk Hack

Now this desk hack is a bit of a project, but I had to include it due to the sheer ingenuity.
The computer table raises up electronically to become a standing desk when you want a change of position (which we always recommend!)
It’s also a gorgeous, long desk with loads of storage. But mostly we like the fancy electric rising table!
Ikea Stylish Desk with Living Wall Hack

There are so many great things about this Ikea desk hack. The use of the facetted 3-dimensional doors and the chevron wood work top to give the whole design texture and interest. The color zoning of the desk area to delineate the workspace. The pegboard storage.
But most of all, I love the idea of a living wall of plants next to where you work. The pegboard helps achieve this.
A really well thought out design!
Ikea Pallet Desk Hack

Now for something a bit different! This is a wonderfully simple desk hack; just a pallet on Ikea legs. It is so easy to do, but is a really stand out piece of furniture.
The pallet even has it’s own built-in storage shelf!
Just make sure you sand down all the rough edges!
Ikea Elegant Double Desk Hack

More and more people are working from home for at least some of the week, if not all. It will be more common for couples to be working at home together in the future and so there will be a need for a double desk work space.
This design has been cleverly worked into the loft eaves and uses modified HEMNES drawers to provide both storage and support for the awesome long worktop that is used for the desk.
Ikea Spacesaving Desk Hack

We love a space-saving Ikea hack at Hacksaholic and this is a really good one. They have used a KNOPPANG picture frame to provide the support for the desk when it is folded down.
You could obviously put a picture in the frame to disguise it even more when it is folded back up.
Ikea Plywood Wrapped Desk Hack

Plywood is becoming an increasingly popular material to use in it’s raw state and this gorgeous Ikea desk hack uses it to wrap some NORDLII units as well as create a laptop desk (or kids desk as in this case).
I love the NORDLII range for it’s simple design and willingness to be paired with almost anything and still look great!
Ikea Colorful Drawers Desk Hack

If you like a bit of color then this great hack allows you to introduce colorful panels to your desk without actually doing any painting.
They have simply stuck on some adhesive vinyl sheets to the drawer fronts and the back of the chair to bring a smile to your face every time you walk into your home office.
Ikea Chic Modern Desk Hack

This creative Ikea desk hack uses one of the bargains of the century; the Ikea INGO dining table. With the addition of a few extra struts and a bit of imagination they have created something quite stunning.
Examples like this make great design more accessible to everyone!
Ikea Mix Up Functional Desk Hack

There isn’t a lot of hacking going on in this office, but the use of several different Ikea products to create a really useful desk space.
Everything is kept in the same color to bring it all together and just hints of gold and black finish it off nicely.
I’m marking this down as an Ikea design hack!
Ikea Slim Wood Wrapped Desk Hack

I love a good wood-wrap Ikea hack and this desk hack carries the theory out perfectly.
The slim nature of the desk makes it perfectly suited for homes that lack a specific desk space and so need to steal some from another room without compromising it.
Ikea Large Desk Hack

Ahh! Space! If you have the space, it’s always nice to have a great big desk to work at. This Excellent desk hack uses two Ikea worktops on trestles to create a huge desk.
You would just need to avoid the danger of ‘spreading out’ to fill the space!
Ikea Double Trestle Desk Hack

aAnother double desk hack, but far more simple and relaxed. This is a great way to get good desk space in a hurry.
Just slap a couple of worktops on some trestles and away you go!
Still looks beautiful though!
It’s important to make sure you have a dedicated home office space if you work from home. These Ikea desk hacks really help you achieve that in a variety of ways.
I hope you’ve found plenty of inspiration to create your own perfect work space.
